L'Occitane has selected environmentally-friendly packaging from Albéa for the launch of several new products, including its Verdon and Aromachologie ranges. The new all-green tubes made for L'Occitane have a body and cap containing almost 50% PCR plastic. From the design phase, Albéa offers its clients the possibility to use post-consumer recycled material from recycled milk bottles, which reduces the carbon footprint of its standard tubes by 10%, according to the company.
The tubes selected include:
• For its Outdoor moisturizer, the latest product in the Verdon range, L'Occitane has chosen Albéa's Soft Precitube, which is 30mm in diameter and features an airless pump. The pump provides maximal protection of the natural formula for a precise dosage and avoids any oxidation of the formula even after use.
• Also in the Verdon product family, L'Occitane selected Albéa's Artist Roll'on for its Instant energy eye gel. The 16mm tube with stainless steel roll-on ball applicator gives a feeling of coolness when applied to the contours of the eyes.
• In its Aromachologie range, for a Concentrated Mask containing five essential oils, Albéa recommended that L'Occitane use a tube of 40mm in diameter with a cannula head nozzle. The specific applicator offers precision in the dosage and distribution of the product.
Through its ‘the Art of Reduction’ approach, Albéa offers its clients a wide range of eco-design packaging. It also proves that eco-design is capable of incorporating innovative application techniques and high quality esthetics, according to Albéa.
