L’Oreal’s VP To Discuss Its Technology Incubator

Guive Balooch, global vice president of L'Oréal's Technology Incubator, will present "L'Oréal's Technology Incubator: Where Technology & Beauty Meet” on September 19th at MakeUp in NewYork. He will be part of the conference taking place 11:15 am through 12:45 pm, “How New Technologies & Sciences Are Driving the Beauty Industry.”

L’Oreal’s unique technology team develops leading innovations such as the Make Up Genius app, which had over 20 million uploads; Lancôme's Le Teint Particulier customized foundation, and the My UV Patch.

Balooch will share these innovative projects while discussing L'Oréal's focus on leading in the “beauty tech” sector. He has helped L'Oréal evolve from a legacy beauty company to a tech player by bringing digital beauty experiences to consumers. Designed as a startup within a large organization, L'Oréal's Technology Incubator partners with entrepreneurs, academic institutions and experts across a diverse array of fields to unearth breakthrough research and first-to market technologies.

Balooch is a scientist who is a California native - and says he is dedicated to bringing cutting-edge technology to the beauty industry. He has earned a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and holds a Ph.D. in Biomaterials from the University of California, San Francisco.
