During the afternoon on September 7th, visitors at the MakeUp in NewYork show will have the opportunity to view a video presentation about “the daily application of makeup.” The video was produced by Ashley Maria, David Lucas, Rafaela Topalian and Jessica Zuschlag, who are all students at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

The video project conveys the belief that "cosmetics mean more to people than one would imagine and they are much more than a superficial aspect of life.” It captures the daily beauty routine of individuals of different ages, sexes and ethnic backgrounds. During interviews with the producers, the subjects explain what beauty means to them.

The students explain, “We want the cosmetic industry to get real feedback and insight from people that use the cosmetics they produce. We want to inspire the industry so that it can continue producing products that bring pleasure to those that love this industry and its products unconditionally."
