API Group will show visitors at Luxe Pack New York it’s 2018 - 2019 Trends Folio — and a new recyclable film-free laminate.

The Trends Folio includes all the foils, laminates, and holograms the company anticipates will be in demand through next year.

API Group’s recyclable film-free laminate for paperboard packaging is called Transmet — and provides all the benefits of traditional metalized polyester cartonboard laminates, without the film content. This makes it recyclable through normal waste streams.

“Transmet allows brands to reduce their environmental impact without compromising a premium design finish,” the company says. Transmet provides a high-level gloss finish, and it is flexible enough to ‘metalize’ thin paper without curling.
