Simona Cattaneo has been hired away from British luxury brand Burberry to become chief marketing officer for Coty’s new luxury division. She will begin her role at Coty this summer.
Cattaneo will be based in Paris, reporting to Edgar Huber, who will be president of Coty Luxury. That division is being created in light of of the company’s pending acquisition of 41 beauty brands from Procter & Gamble.
Cattaneo brings 20 years of experience in the beauty and luxury industries. She served at Dior for more than seven years, and before that, she was at L’Oréal, where she worked on the Kérastase brand.
