COSME Tech and COSME Tokyo, held jointly at Tokyo Big Sight proved to be larger, busier and more international this year than previously, according to the show’s organizers.
The co-located shows, which focused on cosmetics development and finished products (COSME Tokyo), attracted 637 exhibitors from 36 countries/regions and 23,295 visitors.
There were 190 international exhibitors (up from 143 exhibitors in 2014). The number of international visitors increased by 34% from the previous show, especially from other Asian countries such as China, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.
The two events covered the entire industry from academic research to finished products. Among the three main pillars of COSME Tech—ingredients, contract manufacturing and packaging—the Ingredients Zoneshowed the most significant growth this year.
