L2 has reported findings on digital success by beauty brands. Global cosmetics leader L’Oréal has trumped the list with the top three brands—Urban Decay, Maybelline and Lancôme.
LVMH’s Benefit, and Estée Lauder’s Clinique and MAC also received top rankings.
While these brands are ranked according to their online activity, L2 reports that a large majority (70%) of sales goes through the mega retail sites belonging to Amazon, Sephora and department stores such as Macy’s and Nordstrom.
As far as social media platforms, L2 says Twitter is on a decline—and it’s all about Instagram, especially when it comes to reaching Millennials.
