Brazil’s cosmetics market has become one of the strongest in the world—and Geka says it wants to be a part of this success. Thus, during the first half of 2015, the supplier will be opening a local entity, Geka do Brasil LTDA, with sales offices and a brand new production site. Ivonne Ascher, current manager of Geka’s South American sales activities, will be responsible for Geka do Brazil. The new production site, fully equipped with injection and assembly machines, will be led by Geka do Brazil’s managing director, Andre Araujo, in the outskirts of São Paulo, which Geka says will enable them “to cover local demands on the spot and ensure significantly shorter delivery times.”
Geka is building a local team of approximately 20 people to manufacture not only mascara packaging but also lipgloss and eyeliner packs.
