More than 150 suppliers are expected in May |
Luxe Pack New York, the premier show for creative packaging, will be larger than ever in 2013. That’s the word from the event’s management team, which says it is adding more exhibit space to accommodate additional exhibitors. When the show takes place May 15–16, at The Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion (135 West 18th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues, in Manhattan), more than 150 exhibitors are expected to showcase innovative packaging for all luxury sectors, including cosmetics/fragrance, personal care, food, wine and spirits, fashion/accessories, jewelry/watches and more.
The additional 8,500 square-foot area, which is called “The Gallery,” is located on the second floor of the Metropolitan Pavilion. The Gallery will house more exhibitors as well as the seminar room.
“Each year we redesign the show floor plan to keep up with the ever-growing demand from packaging suppliers to participate at Luxe Pack New York,” said Nathalie Grosdidier, executive director, Luxe Pack New York. “We are delighted to provide more suppliers with the opportunity to exhibit this year, by opening an additional space, while maintaining our high caliber standards”
Luxe Pack New York will once again offer a roster of high-level educational sessions during the two days.
On May 15, from 11:30 to 12:30, Beauty Packaging has organized a panel entitled: “Innovative Packaging That Translates Across Global Markets: In a global market, what do beauty brands need to keep in mind when products and packaging have to transcend language and borders?” Featured speakers are Dr. Benjamin Punchard, senior global packaging analyst, Mintel; Scott Widro, executive VP of operations and supply chain, Gurwitch Products; and Renee Hartmann, co-founder, China Luxury Advisors. The session will be moderated by Jamie Matusow, editor, Beauty Packaging magazine.
