What you’ll do:
The Client Development Director is responsible for new client identification and the acquisition of enterprise level clients that represent a wide range of business and design opportunities, as well as share in Hornall Anderson’s belief in the truth and beauty of design
- Lead efforts that contribute to successful new client acquisitions, including lead/opportunity generation, qualification, scope development, pitching, and transitioning work to the project team(s).
- Efficiently communicating the possibilities and results that strategic design can provide to a potential client’s brand and business.
- Having an active role in Hornall Anderson’s POV and approach to storytelling and case study development.
- Develop strategies for optimal integration of all agency competencies to pitch and win work.
- Successfully transfer new relationships to the team that will work and grow the business.
- In partnership with the VP of Client Development, help mentor junior client development teammates; providing growth and learning opportunities.
- Being responsible for annual, individual revenue goals tied to a larger agency business plan.
Here’s what we think it will take to do this job, but we love being proven wrong:
- Proven track record of building relationships at a senior level within an agency or client organization.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to push for answers/insights beyond surface information.
- Self-starter, ambitious and willing to open new doors
- Must have general knowledge of brand related services including traditional/digital strategy, traditional design, digital/interactive design, environmental design and production.
- 8-10 years of successful business development and/or senior relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising (or like field), or commensurate professional experience is required.
- Ability to travel (estimated 25% of time)
