Specialty packaging solution provider DISC has announced its most recent wins for outstanding consumer packaging. The packaging collection for the Pulp Riot line of hair color products and the Trish McEvoy limited edition Modern Chic Collection each received an American Graphic Design Gold Award from Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) magazine. In addition, the Pulp Riot packaging won the first ever Creative Use of Color category sponsored by PANTONE. The Pulp Riot packaging was singled out because of its creative and expansive use of color. There are 16 different colors in the line ranging from Absinthe Green and Lemon Yellow to Fireball Red.
The Trish McEvoy Modern Chic folding cartons are embossed to match the floral material of their makeup planner case. The embossing is registered to the color matched printed floral image and is accentuated with a gloss UV coating. The combination of elements creates a sophisticated and elegant look.
Now in its 53rd year, GDUSA’s American Graphic Design Awards received over 8,000 entries.
