RoC Skincare has again partnered with independent research firm Sperling’s Best Places, for the third year, to rank the most wrinkle-prone cities in the U.S.
The sudy looked at each of the metropolitan areas’ risk for skin damage and premature aging by the year 2040. The analysis is based on factors commonly known to affect skin health – lifestyle, occupational and environmental influences.
Which state wins? Sorry, Philly. Due to Philadelphia's high stress levels, more airborne pollution, lengthy commute times and higher than average smoking rates, it is the most wrinkle-prone city in America.
Which is the least? San Jose will claim the least wrinkle-prone title in 2040, due to its shorter commute time, smaller population size and anticipated shift toward a wetter climate.

Contributing Factors
Extreme urban environments, including more congested commuting and lower air quality also contribute to Washington D.C.'s ranking at number 7, and New York City at number 8.
Smoking rates are another factor that contributes to premature wrinkles, and they are low in most places - except for Nashville, St. Louis and Kansas City.
Higher temperatures along with less precipitation will also increase the risk of wrinkles in certain areas, including the Northeast. In Texas, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio residents will see drier skin due to the greatest decrease in average annual precipitation.
