Norell - and Parlux - are set to launch the elegant Norell Elixer Eau De Parfum this fall, exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman.
The woody Floriental by IFF and perfumer Celine Barel includes these notes: Top: Italian Mandarin, Peruvian Pink Pepper and Prune; Mid: Indian Tuberose, Jasmin Absolute Egypt, and Pimento Berry; Base: Benzoin Resinoid, Crystalized Patchouli, and Sandalwood from India.
The Inspiration
Fashion designer Norman Norell held the most glamourous fashion shows, which took place in the evening - and guests were asked to wear black-tie attire. Norell Elixier was inspired by these elegant events.
The fragrance captures "the magic of the sequined dress," the brand states, continuing to .describe it as, "a bold statement piece that looks different from every angle, something you can't quite pin down but leaves you mesmerized every time."
Norman Norell's infamous sequined gowns are on view now, at the Costume Institute's "Manus x Machina" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, through August 14th, 2016.
The Glamorous Packaging
The bottle - and its elegant crystal stopper - is the same as the packaging created for Norell New York, but with a darker amber hue.
Here is a video featuring Baccarat's glass blower, showing how he created the elegant bottle.
And here is what another glass blower has to say about why the Norell NewYork bottle is so special, plus a slideshow that depicts each step in the glass blowing process.
