GlobeIn, a subscription service that sells Artisan Boxes, is featuring a Wellness Box by Watsi for September.
GlobeIn is an online marketplace focused on empowering artisans from around the world to bring their handcrafted products to global markets. Watsi is a non-profit global funding platform for medical treatments.
GlobeIn's September Artisan Wellness Box (shown above) features a Blessing Bag handmade in Ghana; an Eye Pillow handmade in Peru; Baobab Superfruit Powder hand harvested in Benin, Africa; and a Palm Leaf Basket handwoven in Oaxaca, Mexico.
GlobeIn features a different theme for its boxes, which are actually baskets, each month. For example, The Refresh Box, which is also available for purchase separate from a subscription, includes Dead Sea Mud Soap by Sindyanna of Galilee in Northern Israel; a natural hemp washcloth; a hand-painted candle by Nobunto in South Africa; and Yerba Mate tea.
More About the Colorful Baskets
Each monthly subscription comes packed in a colorful basket, made by 3 different weaving groups in Oaxaca, Mexico. The baskets are made using the traditional methods of weaving palm leaves.
Oaxaca lacks basic infrastructure and education, and 3.3% of Mexico's population live there.
