Technotraf Wood Packaging, part of Quadpack Group’s manufacturing division, has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). With its existing PEFC certification, the company is now on the chain of custody of two of the world’s largest forest management programs. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
“At Technotraf, we work only with wood from European forests that are sustainably managed. Certification helps us demonstrate our commitment and helps encourage countries to manage their forests. After all, wood is the only packaging material that can be an endlessly renewable resource. Organizations like the FSC are successfully paving the way towards this goal,” said Technotraf commercial director Jaume Ordeig.
Technotraf says it is the first wooden cosmetics packaging manufacturer to achieve FSC certification and to be certified by both the FSC and the PEFC.
