The Independent Cosmetics Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) has announced its plans for the 2014/2015 Young Designers Competition.
This year's judges will be: (pictured in the photo above)
The Young Designers Competition fosters creativity and encourages innovation among college students. The students create a unique primary and secondary packaging design for a specific type of cosmetic container.
Three winners, to be announced by January 2015, and will attend an exclusive awards dinner hosted by ICMAD in Newport Beach, California. The winners will also receive tours and meetings with executives from top cosmetic companies, plus a cash award.
The first place winner will receive a $5,000 contract assignment to design a new line of bottles by the beauty packaging company, East Hill Industries, Inc. This year’s contest requires students to design a 6 oz. clear squeeze bottle label and outer packaging for a personal care product, such as shampoo, lotion, hair gel, bath products, etc.
All entries must use an original brand and product name, and will be judged based on the idea behind the product, protection and containment of the product, and design.
