Avon launched its newly designed website today. The company says it's a critical component in its new digital strategy plan.
The new site, at AVON.com, was developed to enhance the social selling experience for Avon representatives, as well as the shopping experience for consumers.
Matt Harker, vice president, Avon North America Marketing, said:
“The Avon Representative and her social circles have been the core of our business for over 125 years. The new site and a recently launched social media center help to forge strong connections between the Representative and her consumers. We are giving her the tools, training and incentives to be a successful multichannel social seller.”
To complement its traditional direct selling model, Avon reps have the option to sell through their own personalized eStore. This newly redesigned ecommerce platform includes customizable features for Avon reps, including blogs, special offers, and select product highlights and videos.
The new site also will be promoted through a multipronged digital media campaign, developed in collaboration with digital media agency iCrossing.
