John A. Delfausse, vice president global package development and chief environmental officer, Estée Lauder Corporate Packaging

John Delfausse is responsible for implementing Estée Lauder’s commitment to the environment by making environmentally conscious product packaging decisions, while developing a supplier base to partner with Estée Lauder in this mission. Since joining Aveda in 2000, he has driven packaging to new levels of environmental leadership.

Karen Grant, vice president, NPD Beauty

Karen Grant is vice president and global beauty industry expert for The NPD Group.
In this role, she provides a comprehensive view of the market—coupling expertise of brand management in department stores with the strategic insight of market research. Karen’s concentration is on uncovering emerging market trends, brand vulnerabilities and opportunities. She also provides industry insights on key trends to associations such as HBA and to the media.

Nica Lewis, head consultant Mintel Beauty Innovation

Nica Lewis analyzes trends and innovation in skin care, cosmetics, hair care and fragrance around the world. She frequently writes on the topic and speaks at industry events. Nica is fluent in French and Italian, and is a member of Cosmetic Executive Women in the UK.

Barbara B. Poder-Stiso, senior director package development, Del Labs/Coty, Inc.

Barbara B. Poder-Stiso has spent a remarkable 37 years in package development and package design for the beauty industry. She is currently senior director—package development with Coty Beauty as they acquired Del in 2007. She is a member of CIBS and served as president in 1994. In 2008, she was named to the New Jersey Packaging Executives Club Hall of Fame.

Scott Widro, vice president of manufacturing and materials management, Chanel

Scott Widro handles the company’s manufacturing, industrial chemistry/ compounding, purchasing, package development, package engineering, production planning and inventory management, sub-contract manufacturing and new product management. Scott was chosen in 2007 as HBA’s Packaging Executive of the Year. In 2008, he was named to the New Jersey Packaging Executives Club Hall of Fame.
