TricorBraun Bottle Functions Upright or Inverted

TricorBraun’s Tulipa is a new bottle designed to function equally well whether it’s used upright or inverted. The PET bottles are available in 250- and 500ml sizes, and are manufactured on TricorBraun molds.The Tulipa bottles accept three different styles of snap-on closures, two of which are available with silicone or TPE dispensing valves. The patented bi-injection molding of the valves results in a more cost-effective valve dispensing system in comparison to traditional methods.

Risdon’s Mascara for Avon Corrects Mistakes

Risdon International has produced the double-ended “Mistake Proof” mascara package for Avon. The mascara allows the user to apply the product and then, if necessary, correct or erase any mascara application mistakes. The 60/40 package features Risdon’s patented brush applicator on one end, and a patented flexible, flocked-tip “corrector” on the other end. The two black bottles are made of polypropylene material joined together with a bright, shiny metal connector, silk-screened with the Avon logo. Risdon has supplied a similar mascara package for the European market.

World Wide Packaging Inc. has introduced lipgloss tubes with a patented thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) slant tip for precision applications. In developing the tubes, the company utilized TPE, a copolymer that offers the advantages of both plastic and rubber, to create a soft, flexible applicator tip. The applicator tip is injection molded onto the extruded tube sleeve, making it superior to applicators that are merely inserted. The tubes are available in 16- and 19mm sizes.

INOAC Unveils Package for Anti-Aging Product

Inoac Packaging Group has developed a package for an anti-aging serum product. The outer shell is “insert molded” twice with no sinks, voids, or packing lines, thereby creating ultra heavy walls. The bottle is then assembled into the molded shell and held in place with a collar. This process provides the heavy wall and tight tolerances required by the customer. The entire package, including the overcap, is made from PET, an environmentally friendly material.
