EastPack Opens in New York

Broad-based packaging exhibit to stage first event at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

Opening on June 4 and running through June 6 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, EastPack 2002 will provide access to a broad range of packaging machinery, services, and materials.
Previously held in Phila­delphia, EastPack 2002 will run concurrently with Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East 2002, Atlantic Design & Manufacturing and PLASTEC East, an event for the East Coast’s plastics processing market.

Overall, the show organisers project that more than 25,000 attendees will pass through the show doors to see over 2000 exhibitors.

The broad-based event will feature packaging suppliers serving an array of markets including: consumer products; computers/information technology; electronics; pharmaceutical; aerospace de­fense; instrumentation and medical.

Staged on Level 3 across Halls A, B, D and E, EastPack will provide a stage for suppliers of: machinery and machinery components; closures of all types; a wide variety of containers; services such as contract manufacturing, design, recycling, shipping; and packaging materials from resins to foils and glass.

Exhibitors providing a range of services and supplies for the beauty business including cosmetics, fragrance and personal care products, will be featured in the Cosmetic and Personal Care Packaging Pavilion.

Likewise, the Pharmaceutical and Nutraceuticals Pack­aging Pavilion will gather companies serving the pharmaceutical packaging industry.
