Philippe Bonningue, vice president-packaging and development for corporate operations North America, L’Oréal. Philippe Bonningue has been with the L’Oréal Group for more than 20 years. He joined the company in 1988 in the UK as UP-engineer, and in 1999, moved to France. In 2000, Philippe was named head of development and packaging for the international branch of the Active Cosmetics Division. He came to the U.S. in 2004 as the head of development and packaging for the Luxury Products Division (Lancôme, Kiehl’s Since 1851, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Biotherm) and for the Active Cosmetics Division (La Roche-Posay, Vichy, SkinCeuticals, Dermablend, Biomedic) for the North America zone. He assumed his current position in May 2006.
Jon Dinapoli,
creative director, Coty Prestige Jon Dinapoli has been the global creative director for Coty Prestige for more than five years. He has worked on various brands, including fashion designers Marc Jacobs, Kenneth Cole and Vera Wang, and celebrities Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez. He is in charge of all new brand development, package design, in-store merchandising and photography.
Karen Grant,
vice president, NPD Beauty Karen Grant is vice president and global beauty industry expert for The NPD Group. In this role, she provides a comprehensive view of the market—coupling expertise of brand management in department stores with the strategic insight of market research. Karen's concentration is on uncovering emerging market trends, brand vulnerabilities and opportunities. She also provides industry insights on key trends to associations such as HBA and to the media.
Allan Hafkin,
vice president, global package development, Estee Lauder., Allan Hafkin is currently managing global package development and innovation for both the Estee Lauder brand and Tom Ford Beauty. He has more than 22 years of cosmetic packaging experience including manufacturing, engineering and development throughout all commodities and many brands within the Estee Lauder Companies and at Victoria’s Secret Beauty.
Maureen Kelly,
creator & CEO, Tarte Cosmetics Maureen Kelly created Tarte, a makeup line that is innovatively packaged and loaded with natural ingredients that help treat the problem, not just cover it. She's dubbed it "health couture"—the marriage between fashion and nature. Maureen has won many awards, including, in 2008, the Metro New York Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the retail and consumer services category. She is also a dedicated philanthropist.
Scott Widro,
executive vice president of operations and supply chain, Gurwitch Products. Scott Widro’s numerous global responsibilities include demand management, production planning, inventory management, procurement, vendor management, package development and engineering, quality assurance, regulatory coordination, transportation, distribution and warehousing. He formerly held the position of vice president of manufacturing and materials management, Chanel. He was chosen in 2007 as HBA’s Packaging Executive of the Year. In 2008, he was named to the New Jersey Packaging Executives Club Hall of Fame.
